The Organisational Committee of the Russian Hospitality Awards Held a Meeting of the Jury Members.
It has been more than a month since the Third Awards Ceremony of Russian Hospitality Awards 2016. Time has come to strike the balance and start getting ready for project 2017.
On 15 March the jury members were welcomed by Lotte hotel at the business breakfast. The agenda included questions asked by participant hotels and partners during the year:
- assessment methodology and improvement thereof;
- introduction of new nominations;
- work of jury members at the Awards;
- hotels' feedback;
- contest terms and conditions.
The meeting was attended by: Stanislav Ivashkevich, the director of the management company IVASHKEVICH HOSPITALITY, Anton Matveev, a co-founder and business development director of Big Tree / TrustYou Russia / Frontdesk.ru, Pavel Elnikov, a senior associate at DLA Piper, Aneta Korobkina, a founder and managing director of SEC Hospitality Training and Consulting, and Marina Smirnova, a partner and head of the hotel business and tourism department of the Russian office of Cushman & Wakefield.
All the jury members highly appreciated work of the project's organisers: creation of personal accounts for assessment of hotel facilities and stage-by-stage assessment have enabled focusing maximum attention on finalist hotels.
The participants of the meeting paid attention to increasing interest of individual hotel facilities to the Awards, and it was stated that most facilities that had participated in the Awards followed the Awards' regulations strictly and correctly.
The hotels that had responsibly filled presentation templates offered as innovation by the Awards' organisational committee this year were also appreciated.
According to the jury members, those hotels were easy to assess objectively.
It was emphasised that the hotel had to select the nomination carefully, take into consideration criteria and real capabilities of facilities.
In the course of discussion, it was decided to introduce new nominations and replaced some current ones. Booking.com and trustyou.com ratings will be used in the assessment system the same way as last year.
The following innovations will be introduced to improve connections between hotels and jury members in the contest to be held this year:
- there will be a FAQ sections on the website of the Awards where hotels will be given all necessary information on the contest;
- upon all assessment stages, hotels will be given comments and recommendations by the jury.
Organisers of the Awards are grateful to hotels for participation and trust.
Annual growth of nominees and quality of furnished materials demonstrates growing interest in the Awards.
In 2014, there were 320 nominees, and in 2016, 570 applications were received.
New nominations, enhanced contest terms and conditions and, of course, incredible amounts are waiting for you at the fourth awards ceremony of Russian Hospitality Awards 2017.
