Marina Smirnova is our partner and Head of the Hotel and Travel Department at Cushman & Wakefield, Russia.

Marina Smirnova is a brilliant example of a person with extensive professional experience to have built a truly successful career.

Ms Smirnova graduated from the faculty of foreign languages of Lenin Moscow State University of Education as well as the WTO training courses (Madrid) for travel industry management employees. Currently she is a post-graduate student of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Marina Smirnova is a RICS member. She has authored over 10 books and manuals devoted to various fields of hospitality and travel industries. She lectures at Moscow leading universities on topics related to her field of expertise.

Ms Smirnova began her professional career in the tourism and hotel industry in 1993 at the Russian Federation Committee on Tourism.

Before joining the Cushman & Wakefield team she held the positions of Deputy Director for Consulting, Head of the Hotel Consulting Department at the Moscow office of Colliers International, Senior Vice-President of the Moscow Representative Office of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels where she was in charge of the assessment and consulting department.

Marina Smirnova has been involved in the implementation of key strategic projects of the regional tourism development. She has managed over 100 projects in various regions of Russia, CIS countries and leading European and Asian directions. One of her most vivid projects is the participation in the Krasnaya Polyana territory development in Sochi.
